Sockapalooza 4 Package!

Today I came home to a package. To my surprise, it was from my Sockapalooza 4 Pal, all the way from San Diego, California! My pal was Lauren Z. :o)  Here’s a picture filled post of the goodies she sent me (click the photos for a closer look!).

She sent me 4 postcards (I love postcards and have a growing collection) and some chocolate:

She also sent me some HANDSPUN YARN that she MADE! How cool is that?? It’s beautiful!

And… the socks… I seriously LOVE them! They’re made out of Lorna’s Laces Shepherd Sock in pinks and in the Queen of Diamonds pattern from Spin-Off. I remember seeing these socks and I really liked them, but I totally forgot about the pattern until now. I love pink and I totally love these socks. I was so loving the rocking pink package she sent! Check out these lovely socks – they fit my feet perfectly :o)

I really like the heel construction – it’s different from anything I’ve seen before:

Thank you for the great package Lauren Z.!!  You totally rock :o)

My pal’s socks are going in the mail tomorrow – I hope she likes them and the stuff I sent her!

Sockapalooza 4 Socks – Completed

They’re done!  Here they are… my Sockapalooza 4 socks.

Pattern: Little Child’s Socks from Knitting Vintage Socks by Nancy Bush
Started: June 24, 2007
Finished: July 22, 2007
Yarn: Sansdes Garn Lanett in purple
Needle Size: US 1 bamboo DPN’s
Notes: No real notes on this one.  I did everything according to the pattern for a change!  I did like the pattern and they have a heel and toe I hadn’t worked before.  I like the sock patterns with calf shaping.  Now I just hope that my pal likes them and they fit her well!  They’re taller than I expected them to come out, so hopefully that’s okay with my pal.  In all but the last photo, the color is pretty accurate.

PS to my pal – don’t worry they’re being washed as I write this!
