At least start and get a good way through:
And if I can get my hands on the pattern without having to order it, I’d like to do the Kristina Bag. I already have the yarn I need for it.
I’ve been working on Branching Out in a skein of SWTC’s Oasis (soy silk) in color #502 – Purplexed that I picked up when I stopped at Flying Fingers Yarn Shop some time ago. I liked the color and had never used soy silk, so I figured I’d try it out. It had been sitting in my stash waiting for me to find a project for it and one day I looked at it and thought, “I should have enough yarn from this one skein of soy silk to make a scarf! What about Branching Out?” I like the results of lace, but I don’t seem to care for the small yarn and large needles that most lace projects require. Small yarn and small needles I’m okay with. I’m even okay with worsted weight yarn and larger needles than one would normally use. But small yarn and big needles? Nope. Well, at least not yet. At any rate, I really like how Branching Out is coming along. I will post photos of my progress soon.
I’m thinking that once I’m done with Branching Out, I may finally finish up Liesel. I’m actually contemplating working on both at the same time. Knit one repeat on one, knit one repeat on the other. Keep things interesting and complete both!
The minisweater is near completion. I’m working on the decreases through the sleeves. Did I mention I’m making it with 3/4 sleeves? Well, I am. I decided that I needed to do some sleeve decreases or I’d never wear it. I’m working on the last little bit for the left sleeve. After that I’ll just need buttons and it’ll be done. I plan on finishing that up tonight.
Pomatomus is coming along. I haven’t worked on it all week, but I’m about 3/4 of the way done with the first sock. It’s slow going because I’m getting a little bored with it, but next week I’ll probably get Branching Out, Liesel, and Pomatomus done, which means I’ll be in need of new projects! Fear not, though… I have plenty of yarn and projects to keep me going for a while.
Ohhhh and I’ve been working on a kitty. I joined the Stuffy Swap on Craftster.org. I’ve been wanting to knit that pattern for a while, but just hadn’t gotten around to it. Yesterday I sat down and knit the entire body portion. I decided I wanted to knit it with a skirt instead of pants, so I’m working on that now. If I’d put much thought into how difficult it would be to knit a skirt onto it once it’s stuffed… well I’d have done it before I stuffed it! Hindsight is always 20/20. I think it’ll be quite cute once I’m done with it. I’ll probably get the minisweater and the kitty done tonight. I’ll try and post pictures if I get around to taking some tonight :o)
Alright… back to work I go!
