2 Hot Head Hats

Around the 10th – 13th, I made 2 hats. Both for co-workers. I used the pattern Hot Head from Stitch ‘n Bitch: The Knitter’s Handbook. I got my pictures uploaded around the 15th or so and forgot about posting them! So… here are my finished hats!

This is DKSN Lalani:

I did this hat knitting with 2 strands of Lopi 100% wool in grey, using the “Hot Head” pattern from SnB.

This is DKSN Rogers:

I did this with Lamb’s Pride bulky in gold color, Lamb’s Pride worsted (knitted with 2 strands to make it “bulky”) in green, and Lopi 100% wool in red

Silly me didn’t know that Lopi = LP bulky when I did the first hat! The first one came out rather thick (and warm) because I knitted with 2 strands.

First Projects

What was it was that I first knit? A baby hat and booties from one of those “learn to knit” kits for a gal in my office who was pregnant. Then I knitted a baby blanket out of Lion Brand’s Pound of Love from a pattern on the label. Some time later, my grandma sent me some yarn and I made the Kittyville hat from Stitch ‘N Bitch: The Knitter’s Handbook. That’s when I really started getting into knitting. After that I made Santa Hats – 3 or 4 of them, I can’t remember.

Since then, I’ve been keeping track of things I’ve been knitting :o)
